Nichelle Mitchem Serves on the Clayton County Alliance
Nichelle Mitchem, director of operations, the National Center on Grandparents Raising Grandchildren, serves on the Grandparents Raising Grandchildren: Clayton County Alliance. The Alliance represents the efforts of human services agencies and other organizations to provide and identify support for grandparents who are primary caregivers of their grandchildren in Clayton County.
The National Center’s mission is to improve the well-being of children raised by grandparents by promoting the best practices in service delivery and by fostering research that is relevant to the formation of sound public policy. The National Center strives to educate professionals on the needs of grandparent-headed families and to replicate the best practices of Project Healthy Grandparents on a national basis.

Nichelle Mitchem Selected As First Director of Operations for Georgia State University Program
